R1L is a musical project blending electronic sounds, experimental atmospheres, and innovative rhythms.
Most tracks were composed on Librazik using Ardour, free or open-source plugins, and hardware synthesizers. This gives the albums a sound aesthetic that is both organic and electronic.
About me
Born in the 70s, Linux tinkerer for 30 years, and self-proclaimed “bad musician”. I create synthwave, new wave, pop & chiptune, blending Free Software tools with vintage hardware and drawing inspiration from the sounds of the 80s.
Seeing my music used in free and non-commercial projects truly matters to me. I’m also very open to collaborating with other musicians, sharing ideas, remixing, and creating music together. Don’t hesitate to contact me 🙂
Highlights
- Some tracks from Bao Bao were used in a PeerTube introduction video: Les coulisses de PeerTube (PeerTube, backstage)
- Featured on Trentmix Radio (in french): 120 Minutes – Musical Liberation Section (31/10/2021)
- Collaborated on an album with the Japanese band Technotite.JP. The album is called Chase Away the Night
- Sub26nico regularly adds guitar parts to some tracks, he’s such a nice guy !
